Setup and Installation
1. Battery Installation
The TLR-7 X sub utilizes multi-fuel technology, accepting either the included non-rechargeable CR123A battery or the optional SL-B9 rechargeable battery (sold separately).
- Unscrew the bulb assembly by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Insert the battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the bulb.
- Screw the bulb assembly back on, ensuring it is tightened securely to maintain water resistance.

2. Mounting the Light
The rail clamp system allows for quick and safe attachment/detachment without tools and without placing hands in front of the muzzle.
- Ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe.
- Use the provided tool to slightly loosen the tensioner screw on the side of the light.
- Align the light with the rail on your Glock 43X/48 MOS or Rail handgun.
- Slide the light onto the rail until it clicks into place.
- Lightly tighten the tensioner screw until the light is snug and secure on the rail. Do not overtighten.

Note: The light comes with a number 6 key. If you require a different key (e.g., number 5 for closer trigger guard fit on some models), contact Streamlight customer support.
Operating Instructions
The TLR-7 X sub features ambidextrous rear paddle switches for easy activation.
Light Activation
- Momentary On: Press and hold either paddle switch. Release to turn off.
- Constant On: Press and quickly release either paddle switch. Press again to turn off.
Strobe Function
To activate the strobe function, quickly double-tap either paddle switch. Double-tap again to turn off the strobe and return to constant on mode, or single press to turn off completely.
"Safe Off" Feature
The "safe off" feature prevents accidental activation and conserves battery life. To engage or disengage this feature, refer to the detailed instructions in the official user guide (link provided in the Support section).
