Front Panel Controls:

Setup

Powering the Unit:

Operating Instructions

CD/MP3 CD Playback:

  1. Press the FUNC button repeatedly until "CD" mode is selected on the LCD display.
  2. Open the CD compartment cover by gently lifting it.
  3. Place a CD or MP3 CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  4. Close the CD compartment cover securely.
  5. Press the Play/Pause (►/▮▮) button to start playback.
  6. Use the Skip/Search (◀◀, ►►) buttons to navigate between tracks. Hold them down to fast forward or rewind within a track.
  7. For MP3 CDs, use the 10/FOLD/M button to navigate between folders.
  8. Press the Stop (■) button to stop playback.
  9. Press the PROG/P-MODE button to cycle through playback modes (e.g., Repeat One, Repeat All, Random).

Cassette Playback and Recording:

  1. Press the FUNC button repeatedly until "TAPE" mode is selected.
  2. Press the Stop/Eject button on the cassette deck to open the cassette compartment.
  3. Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards. Close the compartment.
  4. Press the Play button to start playback.
  5. Use the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons to navigate the tape.
  6. To record from CD or Radio: Insert a blank cassette. Select the desired source (CD or Radio). Press the Record button (usually red) on the cassette deck. Then press Play on the cassette deck. Start playback on the source (CD or Radio).
  7. Press the Stop/Eject button to stop playback or recording and eject the tape.

AM/FM Radio Operation:

  1. Press the FUNC button repeatedly until "RADIO" mode is selected. The display will show the current frequency.
  2. Extend the FM telescopic antenna for better FM reception. For AM, rotate the unit for best reception.
  3. Use the TUN +/- buttons to manually tune to a desired station.
  4. To auto-scan for stations, hold down the Skip/Search (◀◀, ►►) buttons for a few seconds. The unit will scan and stop at the next strong station.
  5. To preset radio stations: Tune to the desired station. Press the PROG/P-MODE button. The preset number will flash. Use the Skip/Search (◀◀, ►►) buttons to select a preset number. Press PROG/P-MODE again to confirm.
  6. To recall a preset station, press the 10/FOLD/M button repeatedly or use the Skip/Search (◀◀, ►►) buttons to select the preset number.

Auxiliary Input:

  1. Press the FUNC button repeatedly until "AUX" mode is selected.
  2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) to the AUX IN jack on the boombox.
  3. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or line-out jack of your external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
  4. Start playback on your external audio device. The audio will be played through the boombox speakers.
  5. Adjust the volume using the boombox's volume controls and/or your external device's volume controls.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cleaning the CD Lens: If CD playback issues occur, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc.
  • Cleaning the Cassette Head: Periodically clean the cassette head, pinch roller, and capstan with a cotton swab lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries and store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
