- Insert Inner Pot: Place the clean inner pot into the main unit. Ensure it sits correctly and is not tilted.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The digital display will light up.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Add Ingredients: Place your food and liquids into the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (2/3 full for most foods, 1/2 full for expanding foods like rice).
- Close the Lid: Align the lid with the main unit, then rotate it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the lid is fully sealed.
- Set Steam Release Valve: Position the steam release valve to the 'Sealing' position for pressure cooking.
- Select Cooking Program: Press the desired program button (e.g., Rice, Chicken, Soup). The default cooking time for that program will appear on the digital display.
- Adjust Time (Optional): Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the cooking time if needed.
- Start Cooking: The cooker will automatically begin preheating and building pressure. Once pressure is reached, the cooking timer will start counting down.
- Pressure Release: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode. You can release pressure using one of two methods:
- Natural Release: Allow the pressure to dissipate naturally. This can take 10-30 minutes depending on food volume. The float valve will drop when pressure is fully released.
- Quick Release: Carefully turn the steam release valve to the 'Venting' position. Steam will rapidly escape. Keep hands and face away from the steam. The float valve will drop when pressure is fully released.
- Open the Lid: Once the float valve has dropped, indicating all pressure is released, rotate the lid counter-clockwise and lift it carefully away from you to avoid residual steam.
Using the Timer (Delayed Start)
The timer function allows you to set a delay before cooking begins.
- Prepare ingredients and close the lid as described above.
- Select your desired cooking program.
- Press the 'Timer' button. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired delay time (e.g., in hours).
- The cooker will start counting down the delay time, and then automatically begin the selected cooking program.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and safe operation of your pressure cooker.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Pot: The stainless steel inner pot is dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
- Lid: Wash the lid, including the sealing ring, steam release valve, and anti-block shield, with warm, soapy water. Ensure all food particles are removed. The sealing ring can be removed for thorough cleaning.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or rinse it under running water.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing. Store the pressure cooker in a dry place.
