1. Important Safety Information

3.1 Ignition

The hob is equipped with an electronic ignition system.

  1. Ensure a suitable pan is placed centrally on the chosen burner's cast iron support.
  2. Push down the corresponding control knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the maximum flame setting (large flame symbol).
  3. Hold the knob down for a few seconds until the flame ignites and stabilizes. If the flame extinguishes, repeat the process.
  4. Once ignited, release the knob.

3.2 Flame Adjustment

  • After ignition, you can adjust the flame size by rotating the control knob between the maximum (large flame symbol) and minimum (small flame symbol) settings.
  • For dual wok burners, the control knob allows for independent control of the inner and outer rings, providing versatile heat options for different cooking needs.
  • Always ensure the flame is stable and does not extend beyond the base of the pan.

3.3 Turning Off

To turn off a burner, rotate the control knob clockwise until it clicks into the 'off' position (dot symbol).

4. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your gas hob.

  • Before Cleaning: Always ensure the hob is completely cool and the gas supply is turned off at the main valve before cleaning.
  • Stainless Steel Surface: Clean the brushed stainless steel surface with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel. Wipe in the direction of the grain to avoid streaks.
  • Cast Iron Supports: The cast iron pan supports can be removed for cleaning. Wash them with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before replacing.
  • Burner Caps and Rings: Remove the burner caps and rings. Clean them with warm soapy water and a soft brush if necessary. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling them onto the hob.
