5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Clock does not display time or functions. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Check battery polarity and replace with fresh AAA batteries. |
| Time is incorrect or not setting automatically. | Poor DCF 77 radio signal reception. | Move the clock to a location with better reception (e.g., near a window, away from electronics). Allow time for signal acquisition (up to 24 hours). Manually set the time if radio signal remains unavailable. |
| Alarm does not sound. | Alarm is not activated or set incorrectly. | Ensure the 'ALARM ON/OFF' button for the desired alarm is in the 'ON' position. Verify the alarm time is set correctly. |
| Display is dim or backlight is not working. | Low battery power. | Replace batteries. |
| Clock keeps jumping forward an hour. | Interference with radio signal or incorrect time zone setting. | Ensure the clock is in a location with clear radio signal reception. Check if there's a time zone adjustment feature and ensure it's set correctly for your region. If issues persist, try a manual time set. |
