1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the MEBUS Model 26369 Mechanical Wind-Up Bell Alarm Clock. This classic, battery-free alarm clock is designed for reliable timekeeping and a loud alarm to ensure you wake up on time. This manual provides detailed instructions for its proper use and care.
2. Product Overview
The MEBUS Model 26369 is a mechanical alarm clock featuring a traditional design with a double bell for an extra loud alarm. It operates without batteries, relying on a manual wind-up mechanism. The clock includes luminous hands for visibility in the dark.

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the alarm clock from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
3.2 Initial Winding
Before first use, the clock must be fully wound. Locate the two winding keys on the back of the clock. Turn the key labeled "TIME" clockwise until you feel resistance. This winds the clock mechanism. Turn the key labeled "ALARM" clockwise until you feel resistance. This winds the alarm mechanism.

3.3 Setting the Time
To set the current time, turn the knob labeled "TIME SET" (usually located in the center of the winding keys) in either direction until the hour and minute hands indicate the correct time. It is recommended to set the time by moving the minute hand clockwise.
3.4 Setting the Alarm
To set the alarm time, turn the knob labeled "ALARM SET" (often smaller and located near the alarm winding key) until the small alarm hand points to your desired wake-up time. Ensure the alarm is activated by pushing the alarm switch (usually a small button or lever on the side or back) to the "ON" position.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Daily Winding
For continuous operation and accurate timekeeping, the MEBUS mechanical alarm clock requires daily winding. Wind both the "TIME" and "ALARM" keys fully each day, preferably at the same time, to ensure consistent performance. If not wound, the clock will stop after approximately 24 to 48 hours.

4.2 Alarm Activation and Deactivation
To activate the alarm, ensure the alarm switch (typically a small lever or button on the back or side) is in the "ON" position. To silence the alarm once it rings, push the alarm switch to the "OFF" position. The alarm will sound at the set time for a duration determined by the remaining spring tension.
4.3 Luminous Hands
The hour and minute hands, along with the hour markers, are treated with a luminous material. After exposure to light, they will glow in the dark, allowing you to read the time during the night without needing external illumination.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the clock, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish and internal components. Do not immerse the clock in water.
5.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the alarm clock in a dry, dust-free environment. Ensure it is not fully wound to relieve tension on the springs.
6. Troubleshooting
- Clock is not running: Ensure both the "TIME" and "ALARM" winding keys are fully wound. Mechanical clocks require daily winding to operate continuously.
- Alarm is not sounding: Check that the "ALARM" winding key is fully wound. Verify that the alarm set knob is correctly positioned for your desired wake-up time and that the alarm activation switch is in the "ON" position.
- Time is inaccurate: Mechanical clocks can exhibit slight variations in timekeeping. Ensure the clock is wound daily at approximately the same time. If significant inaccuracy persists, it may indicate a need for professional adjustment.
- Luminous hands are not glowing: The luminous material requires exposure to light to charge. Ensure the clock is exposed to ambient light during the day for optimal glow at night.
