2. Product Overview
The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is an advanced live production switcher designed for professional multi-camera productions. 3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your ATEM Mini Extreme ISO for operation:

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Switching
- Program/Preview: The large numbered buttons (1-8) correspond to your HDMI inputs. Press a button in the 'PROGRAM' row to immediately switch that source to the live output. Press a button in the 'PREVIEW' row to select a source for preview before transitioning it to program.
- Transitions: Use the 'CUT' button for an instant switch between preview and program. The 'AUTO' button performs a smooth transition (e.g., dissolve or wipe) based on the selected transition type and duration. 'FTB' (Fade to Black) fades the program output to black.
4.2 Audio Mixing
The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO features a built-in Fairlight audio mixer. You can control audio levels for each HDMI input and the two analog microphone inputs. Use the 'ON' and 'OFF' buttons for each audio channel to enable or disable it. Adjust levels using the ATEM Software Control interface.
4.3 Multiview Monitoring
Connect a monitor to one of the HDMI outputs and configure it for multiview in the ATEM Software Control. The multiview display shows all inputs, program, preview, audio meters, and status indicators on a single screen.

4.4 Streaming and Recording
- Direct Streaming: Configure your streaming platform settings (e.g., YouTube, Facebook Live) within the ATEM Software Control. Press the 'ON AIR' button on the switcher or in the software to begin streaming.
- Recording: Connect a fast external USB-C SSD to one of the USB ports. Press the 'RECORD' button on the switcher or in the software to start recording the program output and all individual ISO inputs.

5. Advanced Features
5.1 Chroma Key and DVEs
The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO includes advanced chroma key capabilities for green screen and blue screen effects. It also features multiple Digital Video Effects (DVEs) for picture-in-picture effects and other visual compositions. These features are configured and controlled via the ATEM Software Control.
5.2 SuperSource
SuperSource is a powerful multi-layer processor that allows you to combine up to four DVEs with a background, creating complex multi-box layouts for interviews or presentations. This is also managed through the ATEM Software Control.
5.3 ISO Recording and Post-Production
The ISO recording feature saves a clean feed of all 8 HDMI inputs, along with the program output and a DaVinci Resolve project file. This allows for complete re-editing of your live production, including changing shots, adding new graphics, and refining audio, all within DaVinci Resolve.
