2. Product Overview

3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Turn the calculator over to access the back panel.
- Locate the battery compartment cover.
- Slide or lift the cover to open the compartment.
- Insert one AAA battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are aligned correctly as indicated inside the compartment. (One AAA battery is included with the calculator).
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
The calculator is also equipped with a solar panel for operation in well-lit environments, extending battery life.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Press the ON button to turn the calculator on.
- Press the OFF button to turn the calculator off. The calculator also features an auto-power-off function to conserve battery power after a period of inactivity.
4.2 Basic Arithmetic Operations
Enter numbers using the numeric keypad (0-9, 00, .). Use the following buttons for calculations:
- +: Addition
- -: Subtraction
- ×: Multiplication
- ÷: Division
- =: Equals (to display the result)
4.3 Clear Functions
- AC (All Clear): Clears all entries and memory, resetting the calculator to its initial state.
- C (Clear): Clears the last entered number or operation.
- CE (Clear Entry): Clears the current entry without affecting previous calculations or memory.
4.4 Memory Functions
- M+ (Memory Plus): Adds the displayed value to the memory.
- M- (Memory Minus): Subtracts the displayed value from the memory.
- MR (Memory Recall): Recalls the value stored in memory to the display.
- MC (Memory Clear): Clears the value stored in memory.
4.5 Special Functions
- % (Percentage): Used for percentage calculations. For example, to calculate 10% of 200, enter 200 × 10 %.
- √ (Square Root): Calculates the square root of the displayed number.
- +/- (Sign Change): Changes the sign of the displayed number (positive to negative, or negative to positive).
- GT (Grand Total): Accumulates the results of all calculations. Pressing GT displays the grand total.
- MU (Mark Up): Used for profit margin calculations.
4.6 Decimal and Rounding Selectors
The calculator features two slider switches at the top right of the keypad:
- Decimal Selector (F, 4, 2, 1, 0, A): This switch controls the number of decimal places in the result.
- F (Float): Floating decimal point.
- 4, 2, 1, 0: Fixed number of decimal places (4, 2, 1, or 0).
- A (Add Mode): Adds two decimal places automatically for currency calculations.
- Rounding Selector (↑, 5/4, ↓): This switch controls how results are rounded.
- ↑ (Up): Rounds up.
- 5/4 (Cut/Round): Standard rounding (rounds up if the next digit is 5 or greater, otherwise truncates).
- ↓ (Down): Rounds down (truncates).
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the calculator with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the casing or display.
- Storage: Store the calculator in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or unresponsive, replace the AAA battery. Ensure proper polarity when inserting the new battery.
- Avoid Drops: Protect the calculator from drops and impacts, which can damage internal components or the display.
6. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: Check the battery. Replace it if necessary. Ensure sufficient light for solar power.
