2. Initial Time Synchronization (Radio Control - DCF 77)
The MEBUS 25363 is a radio-controlled alarm clock (DCF 77). Upon battery insertion, it will automatically attempt to synchronize with the DCF signal to set the correct time, including automatic adjustment for daylight saving time.
- Place the alarm clock in an area with good radio reception, ideally near a window and away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
- The initial synchronization process may take a few minutes. The clock hands will move to the correct time once the signal is successfully received.
- If the clock does not set itself automatically after a few hours, try moving it to a different location.
- Note: The DCF 77 signal is broadcast from Frankfurt, Germany. In some regions, particularly outside Central Europe (e.g., UK, Ireland), reception may be weak or unavailable, leading to incorrect time synchronization. In such cases, manual time adjustment may be necessary.

Operation
1. Setting the Alarm Time
- Locate the Alarm Setting Knob on the back of the alarm clock.
- Rotate this knob to move the small alarm indicator hand to your desired wake-up time.
- To activate the alarm, slide the Alarm ON/OFF Switch to the "ON" position. To deactivate, slide it to "OFF".

2. Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press the large Light / Snooze Button on the top of the alarm clock. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after approximately 5 minutes.
3. Dial Illumination
To illuminate the clock face in the dark, press the Light / Snooze Button on the top. The dial will light up with a warm white light for a few seconds, allowing you to read the time easily without disturbing sleep.

4. Luminous Hands
The hour and minute hands of the alarm clock are fluorescent. After being exposed to light, they will glow in the dark, allowing for time reading without activating the dial illumination.
5. Manual Time Adjustment (If Needed)
In areas with poor DCF 77 signal reception, or if you wish to override the radio-controlled time, you can manually set the time:
- Locate the Time Setting Knob on the back of the alarm clock.
- Rotate this knob to adjust the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- The clock will continue to operate with the manually set time until a strong DCF 77 signal is received, at which point it may attempt to re-synchronize.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the alarm clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the battery when the clock hands slow down or the illumination becomes dim. Always use a fresh 1.5V Type C (LR14) battery.
- If the alarm clock will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Clock does not display correct time or does not set automatically. | Weak or no DCF 77 radio signal. Incorrect battery installation. |
|
| Alarm does not sound. | Alarm is not activated. Battery is low or depleted. |
|
| Dial illumination is dim or not working. | Low battery. | Replace the battery with a fresh one. |
