2. Safety Information

4. Product Overview

4.1 Main Unit Components

The main unit houses the display, control buttons, battery compartment, and SD card slot.

  • Display Screen: Shows live video feed and menu options.
  • Power Button: Turns the device on/off.
  • Joystick: Controls the 360-degree articulation of the probe tip.
  • OK/Confirm Button: Confirms selections or captures images/videos.
  • Menu Button: Accesses device settings.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the main unit.
  2. Insert the provided 18650 rechargeable battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Connect the USB charging cable to the device's USB port and a suitable USB power adapter (not included).
  4. Allow the device to charge fully before first use. The charging indicator will change when complete.

5.2 Inserting the SD Card

The 8GB mini SD card is typically pre-installed. If not, or if replacing:

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the main unit.
  2. Gently insert the mini SD card with the contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, press the card in again until it springs out.

5.3 Attaching the Probe

The probe is permanently attached to this model and does not require separate attachment.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the display illuminates.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the display turns off.

6.2 Adjusting LED Brightness

Use the dedicated LED brightness control buttons (often labeled with light bulb icons) to increase or decrease the illumination from the probe tip. This helps optimize visibility in various inspection environments.

6.3 Articulating the Probe

The joystick on the main unit controls the 360-degree articulation of the probe tip. Gently move the joystick in the desired direction to steer the camera. Release the joystick to hold the probe tip in position.

6.4 Capturing Images and Videos

  1. Select Mode: Use the Photo/Video mode switch button to toggle between still image capture and video recording. An icon on the display will indicate the current mode.
  2. Capture Image: In photo mode, press the OK/Confirm button once to take a picture.
  3. Record Video: In video mode, press the OK/Confirm button once to start recording. Press it again to stop recording.
  4. Review Media: Access the gallery or playback function through the Menu button to view captured images and videos.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Main Unit: Wipe with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Probe: The probe and insertion tube are waterproof (IP67). After use in dirty or oily environments, gently wipe the probe with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, consult the manufacturer's guidelines for appropriate cleaning agents. Ensure the sapphire lens is clean for optimal image clarity.

7.2 Storage

Store the videoscope in its hard carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the probe is coiled loosely and not kinked.

7.3 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, charge the battery regularly and avoid fully discharging it. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
