1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the main unit of the arch.
2. Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

4.2 Attaching the Arch to the Crib

The Chicco Rainbow Arch features a practical and secure attachment system compatible with Chicco Next2Me models and most standard cots and cribs.

1. Position the arch over the crib, ensuring the attachment points align with the crib rails.
2. Engage the attachment clamps onto the crib rails.
3. Tighten the clamps securely until the arch is stable and does not wobble.
4. Verify that the arch is firmly attached and cannot be easily dislodged by pulling gently on it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Functions

The main unit features buttons for controlling music, light, and timer settings.

• Power Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.
• Music Selection: Press the music note button to cycle through classical music (Bach, Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven) and New Age melodies.
• Light Function: The star unit emits a soft white light, creating a rainbow effect on the arch. This light activates with the music.
• Timer Settings: Use the timer button to select between 15-minute and 30-minute play cycles. The unit will automatically turn off after the selected duration.
• Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the dedicated volume selector.

5.2 Using as a Portable Night Light

After approximately 6 months of age, the central star unit can be detached and used independently as a portable night light.

1. Gently detach the star unit from the main arch.
2. Place the star unit on a bedside table or other stable surface.
3. Use the controls on the star unit to activate its light and music functions as desired.

6.1 Cleaning

• Arch Unit: Wipe the plastic arch unit with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not immerse in water.
• Fabric Pendants: The three fabric pendants (bear, moon, star) are removable and machine washable. Follow care instructions on the label.
