Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always adhere to the following safety guidelines:

Setup and Initial Assembly

Your Discovery E8200 bike may require some assembly upon arrival. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the bicycle and all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for potential future transport or returns.
  2. Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem. Ensure it is centered and the bolts are tightened securely. Adjust the angle for comfortable riding.
  3. Seat Post and Saddle: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height to ensure your feet can comfortably touch the ground when stopped, or for optimal pedaling efficiency. Tighten the quick-release lever or bolt.
  4. Pedal Attachment: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal has a reverse thread. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and screw them into the crank arms. Tighten firmly with a wrench.
  5. Front Wheel Installation (if detached): If the front wheel is not pre-installed, align the disc brake rotor with the caliper and insert the axle into the fork dropouts. Secure with the quick-release skewer or axle nuts.
  6. Tire Inflation: Inflate both tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.
  7. Initial Battery Charge: Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the battery port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when fully charged.
  8. Brake Check: Test both front and rear brakes to ensure they engage properly and stop the bike effectively. Adjust if necessary.
  9. General Inspection: Double-check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases to ensure they are tight and secure.
