Setup and Installation

The Legrand Wiremold RDSZCWH Power Center is designed for easy installation into various furniture surfaces. Follow these steps carefully.

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable location on your furniture. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Ensure the surface thickness is between 3/8 inch and 1-1/4 inches.
  2. Mark Cutout: Using a pencil or marker, carefully mark the cutout area on your furniture. The required cutout size is 6 5/8 inches x 2 inches. Ensure you have sufficient clearance around the cutout: 7 1/8 inches x 2 1/2 inches on the front side (1/4 inch all around) and 1 1/8 inches x 2 inches on the back side (on both ends).

  3. Cut Opening: Carefully cut the marked opening using a jigsaw or appropriate cutting tool. Ensure clean edges.
  4. Insert Unit: Insert the power center unit into the cut opening. Ensure it sits flush with the furniture surface.
  5. Tighten Clamps: From the underside of the furniture, tighten the integrated clamps to secure the unit firmly in place.
  6. Attach Bezel: Snap the decorative bezel onto the front of the unit for a finished look.
  7. Plug In: Connect the power center's integrated 6-foot cord to a standard 125V AC wall outlet. The cord features a plug pass-through, allowing you to connect to an outlet even if another plug is already in use.
