2. Safety Information

Your safety and the safety of others are very important. Please read all safety messages in this manual and on your appliance.

Important Safety Instructions:

  • Always plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong.
  • Do not use an adapter. Do not use an extension cord.
  • Disconnect power before servicing.
  • Use two or more people to move and install the air conditioner.
  • Do not use this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged.

4. Setup and Installation

4.2 Placement:

  • Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of space around the unit for proper air circulation.

4.3 Window Kit Installation:

  1. Assemble the window slider kit to fit your window opening. The kit is designed for both horizontal and vertical windows.
  2. Attach the exhaust hose to the unit's exhaust port.
  3. Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the window exhaust adapter.
  4. Insert the window exhaust adapter into the opening of the window slider kit.
  5. Secure the window kit in the window frame, ensuring a tight seal to prevent air leakage.

5. Operating Instructions

Your portable air conditioner offers multiple operating modes and settings for customized comfort.

5.1 Control Panel and Remote Control:

The unit can be operated using the on-board electronic panel with a digital display or the included remote control. Ensure batteries are installed in the remote control.

5.2 Operating Modes:

  • Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling for rooms up to 350 square feet. Adjust temperature and fan speed as desired.
  • Heat Mode: Provides heating functionality. Adjust temperature and fan speed.
  • Dehumidify Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air, removing 2.92 pints of moisture per hour. In this mode, continuous drainage is recommended using the provided drain hose.
  • Fan-Only Mode: Circulates air without cooling or heating. Select from 3 fan speeds.

5.3 Settings:

  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the up/down arrows on the control panel or remote to set your desired temperature.
  • Fan Speed: Choose from 3 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) for optimal airflow.
  • 24-Hour On/Off Programmable Timer: Set the unit to turn on or off automatically at a specified time.
  • Automatic Restart: After a power outage, the unit remembers your last settings and automatically restarts once power is restored.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the life of your appliance.

6.1 Cleaning the Washable Filter:

The filter helps keep the air free of dust, debris, and contaminants. It should be cleaned regularly, typically every two weeks or more often depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
  3. Wash the filter under running water (warm, soapy water if very dirty).
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.

6.2 Draining Water:

The unit features a bucketless design where water collected during cooling is automatically evaporated. However, in high humidity conditions or when using the dehumidify mode, water may accumulate and need to be drained.

  • Manual Drainage: If the internal water tank becomes full, the unit may stop operating and display an error code (e.g., P1). Turn off the unit, place a shallow pan or tray under the drain port, and remove the drain plug to empty the water.
  • Continuous Drainage: For continuous dehumidification, attach the provided drain hose to the continuous drain port and route it to a floor drain or a larger collection container.
