Setup

Proper setup is crucial for effective therapy and comfort. Follow these steps to prepare your Evora Nasal Fitpak for use.

1. Select the Correct Cushion Size: The Fitpak includes Small, Medium, and Large nasal cushion seals. Try each size to determine which provides the best seal and comfort without causing pressure points. The cushion should sit comfortably under your nose.
2. Attach the Nasal Cushion: Align the chosen nasal cushion with the mask frame and press firmly until it clicks securely into place.
3. Connect the Headgear: Attach the headgear straps to the designated points on the mask frame. Ensure the headgear is not twisted.
4. Connect to CPAP Device: Attach the short tube of the mask to your CPAP machine's main air tubing.

Operating Instructions

Once assembled, the Evora Nasal Fitpak is ready for use with your CPAP therapy device.

1. Put on the Mask: Hold the mask frame with the cushion facing your nose. Place the headgear over your head like a cap.
2. Adjust for Fit: Gently pull the headgear straps to achieve a snug but comfortable fit. The nasal cushion should sit directly under your nose, as stated in the directions: "Use with Nasal cushions seals only". Avoid overtightening, which can cause discomfort or skin marks.
3. Check for Leaks: Turn on your CPAP machine. Lie down in your typical sleeping position. Check for any air leaks around the nasal cushion. Minor adjustments to the headgear or cushion position may be necessary to eliminate leaks.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your Evora Nasal Fitpak is essential for hygiene and to prolong the life of the mask components.

Daily Cleaning:

• Disconnect the nasal cushion and short tube from the mask frame.
• Wash the nasal cushion and short tube in warm, soapy water using a mild soap.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Allow components to air dry completely out of direct sunlight before reassembling.

Weekly Cleaning:

• Disassemble all mask components, including the headgear.
• Wash the mask frame and headgear in warm, soapy water using a mild soap.
• Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.

Important: Do not use harsh cleaning agents, bleach, alcohol, or solutions containing strong chemicals, as these can damage the mask materials.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Air Leaks

• Possible Cause: Mask is not properly seated or headgear is too loose/tight.

• Solution: Experiment with the different cushion sizes included in the Fitpak to find the most comfortable fit.

Issue: Difficulty Breathing or Restricted Airflow

• Possible Cause: Mask or tubing is clogged or dirty.
• Solution: Clean all mask components and check the CPAP tubing for any obstructions.
• Possible Cause: Incorrect CPAP pressure setting.
