1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury, or damage. This appliance is for household use only.

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

  • Never force open the Smart Lid. Ensure internal pressure is completely released before opening.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Clean: Wash the stainless steel inner pot, steam rack, and condensation cup with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the cooker base with a damp cloth.
  3. Assemble: Place the stainless steel inner pot into the cooker base. Ensure the sealing ring is properly seated in the lid. Attach the condensation cup to the back of the cooker base.
  4. Placement: Place the Smart Pot on a stable, level surface away from heat sources and water. Ensure adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.

5. Operating Instructions

The Nutricook Smart Pot 2 features an intuitive control panel with one-touch presets and manual settings.

General Operation Steps:

  1. Add ingredients to the inner pot. Ensure liquid levels are within the MIN and MAX fill lines.
  2. Place the Smart Lid on the cooker base and rotate it clockwise until it locks into place. The Smart Lid automatically seals for pressure cooking.
  3. Select your desired cooking program using the one-touch preset buttons (e.g., Rice, Soup, Meat, etc.) or adjust time and pressure manually.
  4. Press the Start button to begin cooking.
  5. Once cooking is complete, the appliance will beep and automatically switch to the Keep Warm function (unless cancelled).
  6. For pressure cooking, allow natural pressure release or use the automatic pressure release button on the Smart Lid. Always ensure pressure is fully released before opening the lid.

Specific Cooking Functions:

  • Pressure Cook: Ideal for fast cooking of meats, stews, and beans. Select the appropriate preset or set time manually.
  • Sauté: Use before pressure cooking to brown ingredients or to thicken sauces after cooking. The lid should be off during sautéing.
  • Slow Cook: For recipes requiring longer cooking times at lower temperatures. Use a glass lid (not included) for best results.
  • Rice: Optimized for various types of rice. Follow recommended water-to-rice ratios.
  • Steam: Use the included steam rack to steam vegetables, fish, or dumplings. Add water to the inner pot below the rack.
  • Sous Vide: Cook food precisely at a controlled temperature. Requires vacuum-sealed bags for ingredients.
  • Yogurt: For making homemade yogurt. Follow specific recipes for fermentation times and temperatures.
  • Keep Warm: Automatically activates after most cooking programs to keep food at serving temperature.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and proper functioning of your Nutricook Smart Pot 2.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Pot: The stainless steel inner pot is dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  3. Smart Lid: Remove the sealing ring and wash it with warm, soapy water. Clean the lid, including the steam release valve and float valve, with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembly.
  4. Cooker Base: Wipe the exterior of the cooker base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the cooker base in water or any other liquid.
  5. Condensation Cup: Empty and wash the condensation cup after each use.
  6. Storage: Store the appliance in a dry place.
