2. Package Contents
Please verify that all items are present in your package:

- Note: Two standard AA batteries for the charging station are not included.

3. Setup
- Charge The MeatStick Sensor: Before first use, fully charge the MeatStick sensor. Insert the sensor into the charging station. The sensor has a built-in battery that provides approximately 24 hours of continuous use on a full charge.
- Install AA Batteries in Xtender: Open the battery compartment of the charging station and insert two standard AA batteries (not included). These batteries power the Bluetooth Xtender, extending the range up to 80 meters.
- Download the App: Download "The MeatStick App" from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
- Pair with Smartphone:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Open The MeatStick App.
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair your MeatStick sensor. The app will intuitively guide you through the process.

4. Operating Instructions
- Insert The MeatStick: Carefully insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones. Ensure the ceramic handle is fully exposed to the ambient air and not submerged in food or liquid, unless specifically for sous-vide where the entire stick can be submerged.
- Monitor Temperature: Open The MeatStick App on your smartphone. The app will display both the internal core temperature of your food and the ambient temperature of your cooking environment in real-time.
- Set Target Temperatures and Alerts: Use the app to select your desired food type and doneness. The app provides useful tips based on the cooking method and food. You can set notifications to alert you when the target temperature is reached or if temperatures are too high or low.
- Cooking Methods: The MeatStick is versatile and can be used for:
- Direct or indirect grilling
- Oven cooking
- Sous-vide cooking
- Deep frying
- Range: The Bluetooth Xtender in the charging station provides a wireless range of up to 80 meters, allowing you to monitor your cook from a distance.

5. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: The MeatStick sensor is water-resistant and dishwasher-safe. After each use, clean the sensor thoroughly.
- Charging: Store the MeatStick sensor in its charging station when not in use to keep it charged and ready for your next cook.
- Battery Replacement (Xtender): Replace the AA batteries in the charging station as needed to maintain optimal Bluetooth range.
- Storage: Store the MeatStick and charging station in a dry, cool place.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Connection to App:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Verify The MeatStick sensor is charged.
- Check if the AA batteries in the charging station (Xtender) are fresh and correctly inserted.
- Ensure the MeatStick and charging station are within range.
- Restart the app and try pairing again.
- Inaccurate Temperature Readings:
- Ensure the probe is inserted correctly into the thickest part of the meat, away from bones.
- Verify the ceramic handle is not submerged in food or liquid (except for sous-vide).
