This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your STARLYF Cordless Steam Iron. Please read it thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference. This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the iron.
- Use the iron only for its intended use.
- To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron, its base, or power cord in water or other liquids.
- Always turn the iron OFF before plugging or unplugging from the electrical outlet. Never yank the cord to disconnect from the outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces. Let the iron cool completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around the iron when storing.
- Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying, and when not in use.
- Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron. Contact qualified service personnel for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave the iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the reservoir.
- Use the iron on a stable surface.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Only use tap water for filling the water tank. Do not use perfumed water, water from tumble dryers, or chemically descaled water, as these may cause damage.

4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the iron and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any protective films or stickers from the soleplate.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Positioning the Base: Place the cordless base on a stable, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet. Ensure the power cord is fully extended and not tangled.
- Connecting Power: Plug the power cord of the cordless base into a suitable electrical outlet (220-240V). The indicator light on the base may illuminate.
- First Heat Cycle (Optional): For the very first use, it is recommended to heat the iron to its maximum temperature setting without water. Allow it to heat for a few minutes, then unplug and let it cool. This helps to burn off any residual manufacturing oils.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet and has cooled down.
- Open the water tank cover.
- Using a measuring cup, carefully fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the MAX fill line (320ml capacity). Do not overfill.
- Close the water tank cover securely.
5.2. Setting the Temperature
- Place the iron onto its cordless base.
- Plug the base into the electrical outlet.
- Rotate the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type. Refer to the garment's care label.
- Low: Synthetics, Silk
- Medium: Wool, Cotton
- High (Max): Linen
- The indicator light on the base will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off or change color when the desired temperature is reached.
5.3. Cordless Ironing
The cordless design allows for maximum freedom of movement. The iron heats rapidly on its base and retains heat for effective ironing.
- Once the indicator light signals the iron is ready, lift it from the base.
- For dry ironing, the iron can maintain optimal heat for approximately 2 minutes off the base.
- For steam ironing, the iron can maintain optimal heat for 30 to 45 seconds off the base.
- When the iron cools down or the indicator light comes back on, return it to the base for a quick recharge (a few seconds).
- For optimal steam quality, avoid pressing the steam burst button more than three consecutive times when the indicator light is off.

5.4. Dry Ironing
- Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam function is turned off.
- Set the temperature according to the fabric type.
- Iron the garment as usual.
5.5. Steam Ironing
- Fill the water tank as described in section 5.1.
- Set the temperature to a steam-compatible setting (usually Cotton or Linen/Max). Steam will not be generated at lower temperatures.
- Once the iron reaches the set temperature, steam will be emitted from the soleplate.
- For an extra burst of steam, press the steam burst button. This is useful for stubborn wrinkles.
- For misting, press the spray button to release a fine mist of water.
5.6. Vertical Steaming
The vertical steaming function is ideal for removing wrinkles from hanging garments, curtains, or drapes.
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Set the temperature to a high setting (e.g., Linen/Max).
- Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the fabric.
- Press the steam burst button repeatedly to release powerful bursts of steam onto the fabric.
- Do not allow the hot soleplate to touch delicate fabrics during vertical steaming.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your iron.
6.1. Self-Cleaning Function
- The iron is equipped with a self-cleaning function to remove mineral deposits and impurities from the steam vents.
- Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
- Set the temperature to MAX.
- Once the iron reaches temperature, hold it horizontally over a sink.
- Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, or refer to specific instructions for your model's self-clean activation). Hot water and steam will flush out impurities.
- Repeat if necessary.
6.2. Anti-Calc Function
The integrated anti-calc system helps to reduce limescale build-up, prolonging the life of your iron. Regular self-cleaning complements this feature.
6.3. Draining Water After Use
- After each use, ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
- Open the water tank cover and invert the iron over a sink to drain any remaining water.
- Close the water tank cover.
6.4. Cleaning the Soleplate
- Allow the iron to cool completely.
- Wipe the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for iron soleplates.
- Never use abrasive scouring pads or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the ceramic coating.
6.5. Storage
- Ensure the iron is cool and empty of water.
- Store the iron upright on its cordless base in a safe, dry place, out of reach of children.
- Do not wrap the power cord tightly around the iron or base, as this can damage the cord.
