Front Panel Controls

- POWER Indicator: Illuminates when the amplifier is powered on.
- Channel 1 & 2 Inputs: Combo XLR/1/4" inputs for connecting instruments or microphones.
- PHASE Button: Reverses the phase of the input signal to help reduce feedback.
- VOLUME Knob: Adjusts the input level for each channel.

- POWER Switch: Turns the amplifier on or off.
- AC IN: Power cord input.
- PHONES: 1/4" stereo headphone output for silent practice.
- LINE OUT (Left/Right): XLR balanced outputs for connecting to a PA system or recording interface.
- AUX IN: 1/8" stereo input for connecting external audio devices like MP3 players or smartphones.
- USB: USB port for firmware updates or direct recording to a computer.
- FTSW (Footswitch): Input for an optional 4-button footswitch to control looper and effects.
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the amplifier and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
- Placement: Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Power Connection: Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN jack on the rear panel and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
- Initial Power On: Before turning on, ensure all volume knobs are set to minimum. Flip the POWER switch to the ON position. The POWER indicator on the front panel will illuminate.
- Connecting Instruments/Microphones: Plug your acoustic guitar or microphone into either Channel 1 or Channel 2 input using appropriate cables (1/4" instrument cable or XLR microphone cable).
- Optional Connections:
- For external audio playback, connect a device to the AUX IN jack.
- For recording or connecting to a PA system, use the LINE OUT XLR jacks.
- For silent practice, connect headphones to the PHONES jack.
- For hands-free control, connect an optional footswitch to the FTSW jack.
Operation
Basic Operation
- Adjusting Volume: Slowly increase the VOLUME knob for the channel you are using until the desired loudness is achieved.
- Tone Shaping: Use the LOW, MID, and HIGH EQ knobs to adjust the tonal characteristics of your instrument or vocal. Experiment to find the sound that best suits your needs.
- Feedback Reduction: If feedback occurs, press the PHASE button on the affected channel to reverse the signal phase. Adjusting your position relative to the amplifier can also help.
Using Effects
- Selecting an Effect: Turn the FX SELECT knob to choose one of the eight built-in effects.
- Adjusting Effect Level: Use the FX LEVEL knob to control how much of the selected effect is applied to the signal.
Looper Function
The 90-second looper allows you to record and layer audio phrases.
- Record: Press the RECORD/DUB button once to start recording. The LED will illuminate red.
- Play: Press the PLAY/STOP button once to stop recording and start playback. The LED will illuminate green.
- Overdub: While playing, press the RECORD/DUB button again to record another layer over your existing loop. The LED will flash red.
- Stop: Press the PLAY/STOP button twice quickly to stop playback and clear the loop.
- Undo: Press the UNDO button to remove the last recorded layer.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming
- Pairing Mode: Press and hold the O'PAIR button on the front panel until the Bluetooth indicator light begins to flash.
- Connect Device: On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), search for available devices and select "Fender Acoustic SFX II".
- Confirmation: Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the amplifier will glow solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly through the amplifier.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the amplifier's exterior. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, store the amplifier in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the amplifier's vents are not obstructed to prevent overheating.
- Transportation: When moving the amplifier, use the integrated handle and ensure it is securely placed to prevent damage.
