5. Operation
5.1. Using the Trundle Bed
- To extend the trundle: Gently pull the trundle frame outwards from under the main daybed. The wheels will allow it to roll smoothly.
- To retract the trundle: Push the trundle frame back under the main daybed until it is fully nested.
- Ensure the area is clear of obstructions before extending or retracting the trundle.
- For optimal use, a mattress of appropriate thickness (typically 6-8 inches) is recommended for the trundle to allow it to slide in and out easily.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning Upholstery: For general cleaning, vacuum the upholstered surfaces regularly using an upholstery attachment. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, consult a professional upholstery cleaner or use a mild fabric cleaner according to its instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Frame Care: Wipe the wooden and metal parts of the frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Hardware: Periodically check and tighten all bolts and screws to maintain structural integrity.
- Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation in the room, especially after assembly, to dissipate any new furniture odors.
