Thank you for purchasing the QFX PBX-153 Portable PA Speaker. This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new speaker. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your listening experience. Keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Information
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, etc., please observe the following safety instructions:
- Do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
- Do not remove the cover. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
- Do not place the speaker near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the appliance.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Unplug this appliance during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

Control Panel Features:
- Volume Knob: Adjusts the overall master volume.
- Bass/Treble Controls: Fine-tune the low and high frequencies of the audio output.
- Echo Control: Adjusts the echo effect for microphone inputs.
- Mic Input: 1/4" jack for connecting a microphone.
- AUX Input: 3.5mm jack for connecting external audio devices.
- USB/TF Card Ports: For playing audio files directly from USB drives or TF (microSD) cards.
- Power Switch: Turns the speaker on or off.
- Light Switch: Controls the LED party lights.
- Display Screen: Shows current mode, track number, and other information.
Setup
Charging the Speaker:
- Connect the included AC adapter to the DC IN port on the rear panel of the speaker.
- Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. Allow sufficient time for a full charge before first use (approximately 4-6 hours).
- Once fully charged, the indicator light may change color or turn off, depending on the model.
Initial Power On:
- Ensure the speaker is charged or connected to power.
- Locate the Power Switch on the rear panel and slide it to the "ON" position.
- The display screen will light up, indicating the speaker is ready for use.
Operating Instructions
Bluetooth Pairing:
- Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth mode or you can select it using the Mode button. The display will show "BLUE" or a similar indicator.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for "QFX PBX-153" in your device's Bluetooth list and select it to pair.
- Once successfully paired, you will hear a confirmation tone from the speaker.
True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Connectivity:
The TWS feature allows you to connect two QFX PBX-153 speakers for a true stereo sound experience. This feature works only in Bluetooth mode.

- Ensure both PBX-153 speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode.
- Pair one of the speakers to your Bluetooth-enabled device as described above. This will be your primary speaker.
- On the primary speaker, press and hold the "TWS" button (or a similar designated button, refer to your speaker's specific button layout if different).
- The primary speaker will search for the secondary speaker. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the display on both speakers may indicate TWS mode.
- Audio played from your device will now be distributed in stereo across both speakers.
FM Radio:
- Press the "Mode" button to switch to FM Radio mode. The display will show "FM".
- Press the "Play/Pause" button to auto-scan and save available FM stations.
- Use the "Previous/Next Track" buttons to navigate between saved stations.
USB/TF Card Playback:
- Insert a USB flash drive or TF (microSD) card into the corresponding port on the rear panel.
- The speaker will automatically switch to USB/TF mode and begin playing compatible audio files. If not, press the "Mode" button to select.
- Use the "Play/Pause", "Previous Track", and "Next Track" buttons to control playback.
AUX Input:
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the AUX IN port using a 3.5mm audio cable.
- Press the "Mode" button to switch to AUX mode. The display will show "AUX".
- Control playback and volume from your connected device.
Microphone Usage:
- Connect a microphone to the MIC input jack.
- Adjust the microphone volume using the dedicated MIC VOL knob.
- Use the "Echo" knob to add or remove echo effect to the microphone sound.
LED Party Lights:
The speaker features integrated LED party lights. Use the "Light Switch" on the rear panel to turn the lights ON or OFF.
Bass & Treble Adjustment:
Use the "Bass" and "Treble" knobs on the rear panel to adjust the low and high frequency response of the audio to your preference.
Remote Control:
The included remote control provides convenient access to various functions, including power, mode selection, volume, track control, and EQ presets.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the speaker. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use.
Troubleshooting
