4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.

4.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If the remote will not be used for several weeks or months, it is advisable to remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Remote Not Responding

  • Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-). Replace old or depleted batteries with new 1.5V AAA batteries.
  • Line of Sight: Make sure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the Denon AV Receiver. The remote requires a clear line of sight to transmit signals.
  • Distance: Ensure you are within the effective operating range of the remote control (typically up to 20 feet or 6 meters).
  • Infrared Interference: Bright light sources, such as direct sunlight or certain types of fluorescent lighting, can interfere with the remote's infrared signal. Try operating the remote in a different lighting condition.

5.2 Intermittent Operation

If the remote works intermittently, it may indicate low battery power. Replace the batteries with new ones. Also, ensure the battery contacts inside the compartment are clean and free from corrosion.
