Setup and Installation

The Gree window unit is designed for easy installation into existing window frames. All necessary installation accessories are included. A screwdriver is the only tool required.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the window opening.
2. Attach the accordion panels to the unit.
3. Carefully place the unit into the window opening.
4. Extend the accordion panels to fill the window gap.
5. Secure the unit and panels with screws as indicated in the detailed installation guide.
6. Ensure the unit maintains a slight outward tilt (approximately 3 degrees) to allow for proper condensate drainage.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation:

• Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
• Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through available modes:
  • Cool: Provides cooling and dehumidification.
  • Energy Saver: Cycles the compressor and fan on and off to maintain the set temperature, saving energy.
  • Fan Only: Circulates air without cooling.
  • Dry: Reduces humidity in the room.
• Temperature Adjustment: Use the ^ (Up) and v (Down) buttons to set your desired temperature. The temperature range is typically 61°F to 86°F.
• Fan Speed: Press the FAN SPEED button to select fan speed: Auto, High, Medium, or Low.
• Timer Function: Use the TIMER button to program the unit to turn on or off after a set number of hours (1-24 hours).

Air Filter Cleaning:

The "Filter Check" light on the control panel will illuminate when the air filter needs cleaning. This is a reminder to maintain airflow and efficiency.

1. Disconnect power to the unit.
2. Open the front panel of the unit.
3. Carefully slide out the air filter.
4. Clean the filter by vacuuming off dust and debris. For a more thorough cleaning, rinse the filter with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting.
5. Reinsert the clean filter and close the front panel.
6. Press the "Filter Check" button on the control panel to reset the indicator.

Coil Cleaning:

Periodically inspect the coils behind the filter for dust buildup. If dirty, gently vacuum them using a brush attachment. For heavy buildup, professional cleaning may be required.
