This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your CHERRY GENTIX Desktop Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. This wireless combo offers ergonomic design, durable construction, and convenient features for daily use.

Setup
1. Inserting Batteries
The keyboard requires two AAA batteries, and the mouse requires two AAA batteries. Batteries are included.
For the Keyboard:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
For the Mouse:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse.
- Open the battery compartment cover. The Nano-USB receiver is typically stored here.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Connecting the Receiver
- Remove the Nano-USB receiver from the mouse's battery compartment.
- Plug the Nano-USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This is a Plug & Play device.
- It is recommended to use a USB 2.0 port. While USB 3.0 ports may work, some users have reported occasional issues.
3. Powering On
Locate the On/Off switch on the underside of both the keyboard and the mouse. Switch them to the "On" position.
The devices should now be connected and ready for use.

Keyboard Usage
The CHERRY GENTIX keyboard features a full-size US-International QWERTY layout with an integrated palm rest for ergonomic comfort.
Multimedia and Office Keys:
The keyboard includes 10 dedicated multimedia and office keys for quick access to common functions. These include:
- PC Blocking
- Browser/Home
- E-Mail Program
- Calculator
- Volume Down
- Mute
- Volume Up
- Previous Track
- Play/Pause
- Next Track
These keys are typically located above the function keys or in a dedicated row.
Status LEDs:
Three integrated status LEDs indicate the status of Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock.
Adjustable Height:
The keyboard features 3 sturdy support feet on the underside, allowing you to adjust the typing angle for personal comfort.

Mouse Usage
The CHERRY GENTIX mouse is a symmetrical six-key mouse designed for both left and right-handed users.
DPI Adjustment:
The mouse features an adjustable resolution (DPI) of 1,000 or 2,000 dpi. This allows you to change the cursor speed and sensitivity. A dedicated button, usually located near the scroll wheel, cycles between these settings.
Side Buttons:
The mouse includes two side buttons, typically used for forward and backward navigation in web browsers or file explorers.
Battery Status Indicator:
A red light flashes at the scroll wheel when the mouse battery is low, indicating it's time for replacement.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The keyboard and mouse have an estimated battery life of up to three years, depending on usage. Replace batteries when performance degrades or the low battery indicator activates.
For Keyboard and Mouse:
- Turn off the device using the On/Off switch.
- Open the battery compartment.
- Remove the old AAA batteries.
- Insert new AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
- Close the compartment and turn the device back on.
Cleaning
To clean your devices, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure devices are turned off before cleaning.
Troubleshooting
No Connection / Device Not Responding
- Ensure the Nano-USB receiver is securely plugged into a USB port on your computer.
- Check that both the keyboard and mouse are switched "On".
- Verify that the batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Try plugging the Nano-USB receiver into a different USB port, preferably a USB 2.0 port.
- Move the devices closer to the receiver to rule out range issues (maximum range is 10m).
Mouse Cursor Jumps or is Erratic
- Clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse.
- Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface. Avoid highly reflective or transparent surfaces.
- Adjust the DPI setting of the mouse.
Keys Not Responding
- Check for debris under the keys.
- Ensure the keyboard is powered on and connected.
- Replace keyboard batteries.
