This manual provides instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance of your QuickTalker 7 device.

2. Using Levels

The QuickTalker 7 provides five recording levels, allowing for increased flexibility and a greater number of unique messages (up to 23 messages per level). Use the level selection button on the front of the device to cycle through levels 1 to 5. Each level can have a different set of recorded messages, except for core messages.

3. Core Messages

The QuickTalker 7 has three dedicated locations for core messages. These messages are highly useful words or phrases that are applicable across various settings and remain consistent across all five recording levels. Messages recorded in these locations will not change when you switch between levels.

Maintenance

1. Clearing Messages

Messages on the QuickTalker 7 can be cleared in two ways:

  • Clear Messages for a Specific Level: First, select the level you wish to clear using the level selection button. Then, press and hold the red RECORD button on the back of the device for approximately 10 seconds. The device will beep once, indicating that all messages on the currently selected level have been cleared. Core messages and messages on other levels will remain unaffected.
  • Clear All Messages (including Core Messages): Press and hold the red RECORD button on the back of the device for approximately 30 seconds. The device will emit a series of beeps, indicating that all messages on all levels, including core messages, have been erased.

Locking Controls

To prevent accidental changes to recorded messages or levels, the QuickTalker 7 controls can be locked. To lock the device, press and hold both the red RECORD button on the back and the level selection button on the front simultaneously for 5 seconds. All indicator lights will flash twice to confirm the lock. Repeat this process to unlock the controls.
