  1. 3.5" SATA HDD Rack: For installing an internal 3.5-inch SATA hard disk drive.
  2. RCA Composite Video Output: Standard definition video output.
  3. Coaxial S/PDIF: Digital audio output.
  4. RCA Analog Stereo Audio: Analog audio output (Left/Right).
  5. Optical S/PDIF: Digital audio output.
  6. HDMI Output (Audio-Only): Dedicated HDMI output for audio to an A/V receiver.
  7. HDMI 2.0b Output (Main): Main HDMI output for video and audio to a TV or display.
  8. HDMI 2.0 Input: For connecting an external HDMI source.

Setup

1. Initial Connections

  1. Connect to TV: Connect the HDMI 2.0b Output (Main) port (7) on the Dune HD Pro Vision 4K Solo to an HDMI input on your TV or display using the provided HDMI cable.
  2. Connect to Audio Receiver (Optional): If you have an A/V receiver, connect the HDMI Output (Audio-Only) port (6) to an HDMI audio input on your receiver for separate audio processing.
  3. Network Connection:
    • Wired: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the Ethernet port (10) on the player.
    • Wireless: Screw the two Wi-Fi antennas and one Bluetooth antenna onto their respective connectors on the rear panel. You will configure Wi-Fi settings later in the software setup.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC 12V Input port (14) and then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.

2. Installing an Internal HDD (Optional)

The Dune HD Pro Vision 4K Solo supports a 3.5-inch SATA HDD for local media storage.

  1. Ensure the player is powered off and unplugged.
  2. Gently pull out the HDD rack from the front panel (1).
  3. Carefully slide your 3.5-inch SATA HDD into the rack, ensuring it connects properly to the SATA connector.
  4. Slide the HDD rack back into the player until it clicks into place.

3. Power On

Flip the On/Off Switch (15) on the rear panel to the 'On' position. The device will power on and display the boot screen on your connected TV.

Operating the Device

Remote Controls

Your Dune HD Pro Vision 4K Solo comes with two remote controls: the DUNE HD Premium IR Remote and the DUNE HD BT AirMouse Remote.

  • DUNE HD Premium IR Remote: This is a standard infrared remote for basic navigation and control. It features learning capabilities to control your TV.
  • DUNE HD BT AirMouse Remote: This Bluetooth remote offers an AirMouse function for intuitive pointer control and includes a microphone for voice commands. Ensure it is paired with the player via Bluetooth settings for full functionality.

Navigating the Interface

The device runs on Android OS with a custom Dune HD interface. Use the directional buttons and 'ENTER' on your remote to navigate menus. The AirMouse remote allows for point-and-click interaction similar to a computer mouse.

Media Playback

The Dune HD Pro Vision 4K Solo supports a wide range of media formats:

  • Video Formats: MKV, MPEG-TS, MPEG-PS, M2TS, VOB, AVI, MOV, MP4, QT, ASF, WMV, ISO, folders.
  • Video Codecs: MPEG2, MPEG4, XVID, WMV9, VC1, H.264, H.265, H.265 10-bit, VP9, VP9 profile 2. Supports very high bitrate video (100 Mbit/s+).
  • Audio Formats: 192/24, FLAC, Monkey's Audio APE, WAV/PCM, Super Audio CD (stereo and multichannel).
  • 3D Video: Plays all popular 3D video formats, including MVC, Side-by-Side, Top-and-Bottom.
  • Subtitle Formats: SRT (external), SUB (MicroDVD) (external), text (MKV), SSA/ASS (MKV, external), VobSub (MP4, MKV, external SUB/IDX), PGS (ISO, TS, MKV).

To play media, navigate to your connected storage (internal HDD, USB drive, network share) and select the desired file.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the device has adequate ventilation. Do not block the ventilation openings.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates through the device's settings menu to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
  • HDD Care: If using an internal HDD, ensure it is properly ejected or unmounted through the system settings before powering off the device or removing the drive.
