Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure no parts are missing or damaged.
  2. Remove Protective Film: Before initial use, peel off any protective film covering the solar panel surface.
  3. Attach Nozzle: Select your desired nozzle head and firmly attach it to the pump outlet. The fountain comes with 6 different types of nozzle heads to vary the water spray pattern.
  4. Install Anti-collision Poles (Optional): To prevent the fountain from drifting, locate the four grooves on the back of the fountain. Insert the fasteners into these grooves, then attach the transparent anti-collision poles. These poles help stabilize the fountain in larger water bodies.

  1. Place in Water: Gently place the assembled solar fountain into your bird bath, pond, or pool. Ensure the pump is fully submerged and the solar panel is facing upwards, exposed to direct sunlight. The minimum water depth required for operation is 1.2 inches.

Operating Instructions

The AUTGA Solar Fountain is designed for automatic operation under direct sunlight.

  • Sunlight Activation: The pump will start working automatically within 3 seconds when the solar panel receives sufficient direct sunlight.
  • Spray Height: Under sunny conditions, the spray height typically ranges from 40-60 cm. In cloudy or faint sunlight, the spray height will be reduced to approximately 10-20 cm.
  • No Energy Storage: This solar fountain does not store electrical energy. It operates directly from solar power, meaning it will only function when exposed to sunlight and will stop when sunlight is insufficient or absent.
  • Water Level Protection: The pump is equipped with water-shortage protection and will stop working if it leaves the water or the water level becomes too low.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your solar fountain.

  • Keep Water Clean: Ensure the water in your bird bath or pond is clean. Impurities can clog the pump and filter.
  • Clean Filter and Rotor: Regularly clean the filter cotton and rotor. To do this:
  1. Remove the nozzle.
  2. Carefully remove the water pump from the main unit.
  3. Take out the filter cotton and clean it thoroughly.
  4. Remove the front cover of the pump to access and clean the rotor.

  • Clear Solar Panel: Ensure the solar panel is free from leaves, dirt, or other debris that might block sunlight. A covered panel will prevent the fountain from functioning.
  • Maintain Water Level: Do not allow the water level to get too low, as this can cause the pump to stop working and potentially lead to damage.

Troubleshooting

If your solar fountain is not working as expected, consider the following common issues:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
