4.1 Controls and Indicators

• Power Button: Turns the speaker on/off.
• Volume Up (+): Increases volume. Long press to skip to the next track.
• Volume Down (-): Decreases volume. Long press to go to the previous track.
• Play/Pause Button (Circle): Plays or pauses audio. Also used for answering/ending calls.
• Bluetooth Pairing Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
• Charging Port: Micro-USB port for charging the speaker.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. The charging time is approximately 4-6 hours.

1. Locate the Micro-USB charging port on the speaker.
2. Connect the Micro-USB end of the charging cable to the speaker's charging port.
3. Connect the USB-A end of the charging cable to a compatible USB power adapter (5V/1.7A recommended) or a computer's USB port.

5.2 Attaching the Carry Strap

The included 3-foot carry strap can be attached for convenient portability.

Securely attach the ends of the strap to the designated attachment points on the speaker.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

• To power on: Press and hold the Power button until the LED indicator lights up and you hear an audible prompt.
• To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the LED indicator turns off and you hear an audible prompt. The speaker also features an auto power-off function to conserve battery.

6.2 Bluetooth Pairing

The Alpine AD-SPK1 uses Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming.

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on. The LED indicator will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to the Bluetooth settings.
3. Search for available devices and select "Alpine AD-SPK1" (or similar name) from the list.
4. Once paired, the LED indicator will become solid, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
5. The speaker will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

6.3 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Multi-Unit Pairing

You can pair up to two Alpine AD-SPK1 speakers for a true wireless stereo experience.

1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth devices.
2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button until you hear a specific TWS pairing prompt.
3. The primary speaker will search for the secondary speaker.
4. Once connected, both speakers will indicate a successful TWS connection, and audio will play in stereo across both units.
5. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to the primary speaker as described in section 6.2.

6.4 Audio Playback and Call Functions

• Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button.
• Volume Control: Press the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) buttons.
• Next Track: Long press the Volume Up (+) button.
• Previous Track: Long press the Volume Down (-) button.
• Answer/End Call: Press the Play/Pause button when a call comes in or to end an ongoing call.
• Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause button when a call comes in.
• Hands-Free Calling: The built-in microphone allows for hands-free conversations when connected to a smartphone.
