3.1 Device Indicators

4. Setup

4.1 SIM Card Installation

The ZTE MF971RS uses a Micro SIM card. Ensure you have the correct size SIM card before installation. If you have a Nano SIM, you will need a Micro SIM adapter. Exercise caution when inserting the SIM card to prevent damage.

  1. Locate the SIM card slot on your device. This is typically found under the battery cover or on the side.
  2. Carefully insert the Micro SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly. Push gently until it clicks into place.

5. Operating the Device

5.1 Web Management Interface

For advanced settings and monitoring, you can access the device's web management interface:

  1. Ensure your device is connected to the ZTE MF971RS Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open a web browser on your connected device.
  3. Enter the default IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) into the address bar and press Enter. This IP address is usually found on the device's label or in the Quick Start Guide.
  4. Log in using the default username and password (often admin for both, or specified on the device label).
  5. From the web interface, you can manage Wi-Fi settings (SSID, password, 2.4GHz/5GHz band selection), view connected devices, check data usage, and configure network settings.
