- Switch Shower Modes: Use the rotary knob above the main lever to select your desired water outlet:
- Rain Shower Head: Provides a wide, gentle rain-like flow from the ceiling-mounted head.
- Body Jets: Activates the four body spray jets for a targeted massage.
- Handheld Shower: Directs water to the handheld unit.
- Handheld Shower Mode Selection: The handheld shower offers two modes. Twist the head of the handheld unit to switch between the standard shower spray and the powerful jet mode.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Backnets shower system.
- Cleaning Surfaces: Use a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner to clean the polished chrome and brass surfaces. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Nozzle Cleaning: The silicone nozzles on the rain shower head and body jets are designed for easy cleaning. Simply rub your finger across the nozzles to dislodge any mineral buildup.
- Hose Care: Periodically check the shower hose for any kinks or damage. Clean the hose with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.
- Temperature Control: If you notice issues with temperature regulation, it may indicate mineral buildup in the mixing valve cartridge. Consult a professional plumber for inspection and potential cleaning or replacement of the cUPC certified cartridge.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your shower system, please refer to the following common problems and solutions. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Pressure | Clogged nozzles; insufficient household water pressure; partially closed shut-off valve. | Clean silicone nozzles by rubbing them. Check main water supply valve. Consult a plumber to assess household water pressure. |
| Water Temperature Fluctuations | Issue with mixing valve cartridge; hot/cold water supply imbalance. | Ensure hot and cold water supplies are stable. If problem persists, the mixing valve cartridge may need professional inspection or replacement. |
| Leaking from Shower Head/Jets | Loose connections; damaged seals/gaskets; mineral buildup. | Check all connections for tightness. Inspect and replace any worn seals or gaskets. Clean nozzles. |
| Handheld Shower Not Switching Modes | Mechanism stuck due to mineral buildup. | Clean the handheld shower head, especially around the twisting mechanism. Apply a small amount of silicone grease if needed. |
