Setup and Installation
The EZVALO Under Cabinet Light offers two simple installation methods:
- Magnetic Attachment (for metal surfaces):
Simply place the light directly onto any metal surface. The built-in strong magnet will secure it in place.
- Adhesive Mounting (for non-metal surfaces):
- Step 1: Prepare the Surface. Ensure the desired installation surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Wipe it thoroughly if necessary.
- Step 2: Attach Mounting Pads. Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive tape on the back of the magnetic mounting pads. Attach these pads to the clean surface where you intend to install the light.
- Step 3: Secure the Light. Align the light with the magnetic mounting pads and gently press it into place. The light will snap onto the magnets.

The EZVALO Under Cabinet Light features intuitive touch controls for various functions.
Mode Selection:
Locate the touch button on the light. This button controls the operating modes:
- Single Tap: Toggles the light ON/OFF.
- Double Tap: Activates "Always On Mode". In this mode, the light remains continuously on for 30 minutes, then automatically shuts off to save battery.
- Triple Tap: Activates "Always Off Mode". The light will remain off, even if motion is detected.

To adjust the brightness:
- Long Press: While the light is on, long press the touch button to cycle through brightness levels from 10% to 100%. Release the button when the desired brightness is reached.
Motion Sensor Modes:
The light has two motion sensor modes that activate automatically based on ambient light conditions:

- Day Mode: The motion sensor will activate the light regardless of ambient light conditions (bright or dark).
The light automatically turns off 20 seconds after no motion is detected in either motion sensor mode.
Maintenance
Charging the Battery:
The EZVALO Under Cabinet Light is equipped with a rechargeable battery. When the light dims or stops responding, it's time to recharge.
- Gently detach the light from its magnetic mounting pads.
- Locate the charging port (usually a USB-C or Micro-USB port) on the side of the light.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the light and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (e.g., phone charger, computer USB port, power bank).

- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and reattach the light to its mounting location.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | Battery is low or depleted. Light is in "Always Off Mode". Sensor is blocked or faulty. | Charge the light fully. Triple tap the touch button to cycle modes until it responds. Ensure sensor is clear and try again. |
| Light turns on unexpectedly or stays on too long. | Constant motion in sensor range. Light is in "Always On Mode". Daylight sensor calibration issue. | Relocate the light or adjust its position. Double tap the touch button to cycle modes. Refer to "Daylight Sensor Calibration" section below. |
| Light is not bright enough. | Brightness setting is low. Battery is low. | Long press the touch button to increase brightness. Charge the light fully. |
| Light falls off mounting surface. | Surface not clean/smooth. Adhesive worn out. | Clean and dry surface thoroughly before applying new adhesive. Replace 3M adhesive tape on mounting pads. |
Daylight Sensor Calibration:
If the default daylight threshold does not suit your environment, you can re-calibrate or disable the daylight sensor. Adjusting this may increase power consumption and shorten battery life, especially in high-traffic areas.
- Step One: Place the light in the desired lighting condition (for when it should be activated). Use a pin to push the reset button.
- Step Two: Tap on the touch button 8 times rapidly. The light will flash. Then tap again 8 times. If the light doesn't flash, start again from step one.
- Step Three: The sensor reads the current ambient light level and will flash again. Push the reset button to exit calibration mode.
