Safety Information

Read all instructions carefully before assembly and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury.

  • Guard Rails: The upper bunk is equipped with full-length guard rails to ensure user safety. Always ensure guard rails are properly installed and secured.
  • Mattress Thickness: Ensure the mattress used on the upper bunk does not exceed 7 inches in thickness. The top surface of the mattress must be at least 5 inches below the upper edge of the guardrails.
  • Weight Limit: The upper strata has a load-bearing capacity of 264.5 lbs (120 kg). The lower stratum (under-bed space, if used for sleeping) has a load-bearing capacity of 396.8 lbs (180 kg). Do not exceed these limits.
  • Ladder Placement: The ladder can be positioned on either the left or right side of the bed frame to suit room layout. Ensure the ladder is securely attached before use.
  • Assembly: Assembly requires two to three individuals for safety and ease. Do not overtighten bolts during initial assembly; tighten fully only after the structure is complete for stability.
  • Wall Anchoring: For enhanced stability and to prevent swaying, it is recommended to anchor the bed frame to a wall using appropriate hardware (not included).

Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the JOYMOR High Loft Bed Frame is designed to be straightforward, but requires careful attention to the instructions. It is highly recommended that 2-3 adults participate in the assembly process.

Required Tools (Not Included):

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Rubber Mallet (optional, for gentle tapping)

Assembly Steps:

  1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Lay out all components on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Refer to the parts list in the instruction manual to identify each piece.
  2. Assemble End Panels: Connect the headboard and footboard components according to the manual. Ensure all connections are aligned.
  3. Attach Side Rails: Securely attach the long side rails to the assembled end panels. Do not fully tighten bolts at this stage to allow for adjustments.
  4. Install Support Beams: Insert any central support beams or crossbars as indicated in the manual.
  5. Position Ladder: Determine the desired side for the ladder (left or right) and attach it securely to the bed frame. The ladder is designed to be removable and can be placed on either side.
  6. Install Bed Slats: Place the wooden slats across the bed frame to create the mattress support. Ensure they are evenly spaced and secured if required. No box spring is needed as the mattress rests directly on the slats.
  7. Final Tightening: Once the entire structure is assembled and aligned, systematically tighten all bolts and screws using the provided Allen key and your screwdriver. Ensure all connections are firm for maximum stability.
  8. Safety Check: Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure. Gently shake the bed frame to confirm stability.

  • Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain structural integrity and prevent wobbling.
