3. Setup Instructions

Before wearing your watch for the first time, or after a period of inactivity, follow these steps:

  1. Initial Winding: As an automatic watch, it powers automatically with the movement of your arm. For initial setup or after a period of inactivity, manually wind the watch. To do this, ensure the crown is in its fully pushed-in position. Then, turn the crown clockwise approximately 15-20 times until you feel a slight resistance. This builds up the initial power reserve.
  2. Setting Time: Gently pull the crown out to the furthest position (position 2). Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Once set, push the crown back into its original position (position 0) to secure the time.
  3. Setting Date: Gently pull the crown out to the first position (position 1). Turn the crown to adjust the date. If the date changes at noon instead of midnight, advance the time by 12 hours using the time-setting procedure, then reset the date. Push the crown back into its original position (position 0) to secure the date.

4. Operating Instructions

Your FORSINING automatic watch is designed to be powered by your daily activities.

  • Automatic Movement: The watch's internal mechanism is wound by the natural motion of your wrist. Wearing the watch for at least 8-10 hours a day will typically keep it sufficiently wound and running accurately.
  • Power Reserve: If the watch is removed and not worn for an extended period (e.g., overnight or for several days), its power reserve may deplete, causing it to stop. Simply re-wind it manually as described in the 'Initial Winding' section of the Setup Instructions, and then reset the time and date if necessary.
  • Calendar Function: The watch features a complete calendar display. Adjust the date as needed using the crown in position 1.

5. Maintenance

Proper care will help preserve the appearance and function of your FORSINING watch.

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dust, sweat, and smudges.
  • Water Resistance: This watch is water resistant for everyday splashes and brief exposure to water. However, it is not designed for swimming, diving, or showering. Avoid exposing it to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the watch's seals and lead to internal damage. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
  • Avoid Shocks: Protect your watch from strong impacts, drops, and excessive vibrations, which can damage the delicate internal mechanism.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, certain electronic devices), as these can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement.
  • Storage: When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original gift box, to protect it from dust and potential damage.
