4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Prepare for Installation: Ensure the power supply is completely disconnected at the main circuit breaker.
- Open the Fixture Housing: To access the internal wiring and mounting points, locate the two plastic nipples on the top ends of the metal cover of the lamp housing. Rotate these nipples to unlock and remove the metal cover.
- Mount the Fixture: Using the provided screws and wall anchors, securely attach the stainless steel mounting brackets to your desired installation surface. Then, clip the batten light fixture into the brackets.
- Wire the Fixture: Connect the main power supply cables (Live, Neutral, Earth) to the terminal block inside the fixture. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized.
- Install LED Tubes: Insert the two LED fluorescent tubes into the G13 fittings inside the fixture. Ensure they are firmly seated.
- Install LED Starter: If retrofitting a traditional fixture, replace the existing starter with the included LED starter.
- Close the Fixture Housing: Carefully re-attach the metal cover and rotate the plastic nipples back to their locked position to seal the housing.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the main circuit breaker.
5. Operating Instructions
Once installed and powered, the HOFTRONIC LED Batten Light operates by a standard wall switch connected to its power supply. There are no additional controls on the fixture itself.
- Turning On/Off: Use the wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.
