  2. Place the motherboard on a non-conductive, flat surface.

5.2. Install the CPU

  1. Locate the LGA1151 CPU socket. Lift the load lever and open the CPU socket cover.
  2. Carefully align the CPU with the socket, ensuring the golden triangle on the CPU matches the triangle on the socket.
  3. Gently place the CPU into the socket. Do not force it.
  4. Close the socket cover and push the load lever back into place until it clicks.

5.3. Install the CPU Cooler

  1. Apply a thin, even layer of thermal paste to the top of the CPU (if not pre-applied on the cooler).
  2. Mount the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions, ensuring it is securely fastened.
  3. Connect the CPU cooler fan cable to the 'CPU_FAN1' header on the motherboard.

5.4. Install Memory (RAM)

  1. Open the clips on both ends of the DDR4 DIMM slots.
  2. Align the notch on the RAM module with the key in the DIMM slot.
  3. Press down firmly on both ends of the RAM module until the clips snap into place.
  4. For dual-channel performance, install modules in matching slots (refer to the motherboard's silkscreen for recommended pairing).
