Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your KICHOT Stand Mixer, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Mixer does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the speed control knob is set to a speed other than '0' or 'P'.
    • Verify that the motor head is fully lowered and locked into place.
  • Attachments are difficult to install or remove:
    • Ensure the motor head is in the raised position before attempting to attach or remove accessories.
    • Align the attachment correctly with the output shaft and follow the push-and-twist motion.
  • Mixer is excessively loud or vibrates:
    • Ensure the mixer is placed on a stable, flat surface. The anti-skid suction cups should be engaged.
    • Check that the mixing bowl and attachment are correctly installed and locked.
    • Avoid overloading the mixer with ingredients beyond its capacity.
  • Ingredients are not mixing evenly:
    • Ensure the correct attachment is being used for the type of mixture (e.g., dough hook for heavy dough, whisk for light mixtures).
    • The planetary mixing action is designed for thorough mixing; however, occasionally scrape down the sides of the bowl with the silicone spatula if needed.
