Access the NVR's menu (right-click with mouse) to configure recording schedules and motion detection zones for each camera.

5.3 Playback

To review recorded footage:

  1. From the live view, right-click and select "Playback" or navigate through the main menu.
  2. Select the desired camera(s) and date/time range.
  3. Use the timeline to navigate through recorded events.

5.4 Remote Access

For remote viewing on mobile devices or computers:

  • Download the Lorex Home app (or specified Lorex app) from your device's app store.
  • Create an account and add your NVR by scanning the QR code on the NVR or entering its device ID.
  • Ensure your NVR is connected to the internet.

6. Maintenance

The NVR is configured to automatically overwrite the oldest recordings when the hard drive is full. Regularly back up important footage to a USB drive or network storage if needed.

6.2 Firmware Updates

Periodically check the Lorex support website for firmware updates for your NVR and cameras. Firmware updates can provide new features, improve performance, and address security vulnerabilities. Follow the instructions provided with the update package carefully.

6.3 Cleaning

  • Cameras: Gently wipe camera lenses with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or smudges. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • NVR: Keep the NVR unit in a well-ventilated area. Periodically clean dust from the vents using compressed air.
