Maintenance

1. SD Card Formatting

To ensure continuous and error-free recording, it is recommended to format the MicroSD card every few weeks. This can typically be done through the dash cam's settings menu or via the mobile app.

2. Lens Cleaning

Regularly clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent smudges or dirt from affecting video clarity. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Powering On: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet. Check the vehicle's 12V outlet for power.
  • Recording Issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files): Format the MicroSD card. If the issue persists, try a different high-speed (Class 10 or U3 recommended) MicroSD card.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Problems: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the dash cam and your phone. Double-check the SSID and password. Move your phone closer to the dash cam (Wi-Fi range is about 10ft).
  • GPS Not Tracking: Ensure the GPS module is properly connected and has a clear view of the sky. Allow a few minutes for the GPS signal to acquire.
  • Poor Night Vision: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure there are no obstructions on the windshield affecting the camera's view.
