3.1 Components and Controls

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Insert the WB100 Lithium Battery Pack into the battery compartment until it clicks securely into place.
  2. To charge the battery, connect the charger to the battery pack and plug it into a power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
  3. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use for optimal performance.

4.2 Mounting the Monolight

  1. Attach the provided AD-E2 Bracket to the 1/4" x 20 mounting hole on the monolight.
  2. Secure the monolight with the AD-E2 Bracket onto a compatible light stand.

4.3 Attaching Modifiers

The XPLOR 100 Pro supports two types of modifiers:

4.3.1 Magnetic Modifiers

The front face of the monolight is magnetic, allowing for quick attachment of compatible magnetic modifiers (sold separately).

4.3.2 Bowens-Mount Modifiers

For larger light shaping tools, attach the monolight to an S2 Bracket (sold separately) which provides a Bowens-mount interface.

5.1 Power On/Off

5.2 Mode Selection

The XPLOR 100 Pro offers TTL, Manual, and Multi (Stroboscopic) flash modes. Use the Mode button to cycle through these options.

5.3 Power Adjustment

In Manual mode, rotate the control dial to adjust the flash power output. The power range is 9 stops, from 1/256 to 1/1.

5.4 High-Speed Sync (HSS)

The monolight supports High-Speed Sync (HSS) up to 1/8000s, allowing you to use flash with fast shutter speeds to freeze action or overpower ambient light.

5.5 Wireless R2 System

The built-in R2 Wireless Flash System provides seamless connectivity with various camera systems (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax). Ensure your R2 transmitter (sold separately) is set to the same channel and group as the monolight.
