Setup: Initial Winding and Time/Date Setting

Before wearing your watch for the first time, or if it has stopped, it must be manually wound to ensure correct and precise function. The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement and does not require a battery.

Initial Winding

  1. Ensure the crown is in its normal position (Position 1).
  2. Turn the crown clockwise 30-40 times. This will manually wind the mainspring.
  3. For continuous operation, the watch should be worn for at least 8 hours per day. If not worn regularly, manual winding may be required periodically.

Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out one click to Position 2.
  2. Rotate the crown slowly until the hour and minute hands are in the correct position for the current time.
  3. Note: AM/PM can be determined by observing the 24-hour time and the Sun/Moon indicator on the sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position.
  4. Push the crown back into its normal position (Position 1).

Setting the Date and Day

IMPORTANT: Do not set the Date and Day between 9 PM and 3 AM. Setting during this period may damage the watch movement.

  1. Push button B to advance the date hand to the correct day of the month.
  2. Push button D to advance the day hand to the correct day of the week.

Setting the Month and Year

  1. Push button A to advance the Month display to the correct Month.
  2. Push button C to advance the Year display to the correct Year.

Maintenance and Care

Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your OLEVS watch.

  • Water Resistance: This watch is 3ATM (30 meters) water-resistant. This means it is suitable for daily use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water (e.g., hand washing). It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water. Avoid operating the crown or push buttons when the watch is wet.
  • Cleaning: Clean the watch case and stainless steel strap with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Extreme Conditions: Protect your watch from extreme temperatures, strong magnetic fields, and harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Luminous Function: The watch features luminous hands and markers for readability in low-light conditions. Exposure to light will charge the luminous material.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your OLEVS Automatic Mechanical Watch, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Watch Stops or Loses Time:
    • As an automatic watch, it relies on wrist movement for power. Ensure you wear the watch for at least 8 hours daily.
    • If the watch has stopped completely or is losing time, manually wind it by turning the crown clockwise 30-40 times (as described in the "Initial Winding" section).
  • Date/Day Not Changing Correctly:
    • Ensure the time is set correctly, especially the AM/PM cycle, as the date/day change typically occurs around midnight.
    • Avoid adjusting the date/day between 9 PM and 3 AM to prevent damage to the movement.
  • Bracelet Adjustment: The watch comes with a strap adjustment tool. If you need to adjust the bracelet size, use the provided tool to remove or add links. If you do not have the tool, a small push pin can often be used to depress the pins in the links.
