3. Product Overview
Familiarize yourself with the components of your LAXIHUB P2 camera.

4. Setup
4.1 Download the App
Search for "Laxihub" in the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices) and download the official application. Alternatively, scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide (if applicable) to download the app.
4.2 Account Registration
- Open the Laxihub app.
- Tap "Register" and follow the on-screen prompts to create an account using your email address or phone number.
- Set a secure password for your account.
4.3 Powering On the Camera
- Connect the USB power cable to the Micro USB port on the camera.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- The camera's status indicator light will turn on, typically blinking red, indicating it is ready for setup.
4.4 Connecting to Wi-Fi
Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The LAXIHUB P2 camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- In the Laxihub app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Select "Smart Camera" or the specific model (P2) if prompted.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. This usually involves scanning a QR code generated by the app with the camera's lens.
- Once connected, the status indicator light will turn solid blue.
4.5 Mounting the Camera
The camera can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall or ceiling using the included bracket.
- Desktop Placement: Place the camera on a stable, flat surface with a clear view of the area you wish to monitor.
- Wall/Ceiling Mount:
- Choose a suitable location for mounting.
- Attach the mounting bracket to the wall or ceiling using the provided screws and wall plugs.
- Align the camera with the bracket and twist to secure it in place.
- Adjust the camera's orientation in the app if necessary (e.g., "Image Rotation" for ceiling mount).
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Live View and Pan/Tilt Control
Open the Laxihub app and select your camera to access the live video feed. Use the on-screen controls to pan (rotate horizontally up to 355°) and tilt (rotate vertically up to 60°) the camera lens to adjust the viewing angle.
5.2 Two-Way Audio

Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker. Tap it again to end speaking. You can also listen to audio from the camera's environment through your phone.
5.3 Motion and Sound Detection
Configure detection settings in the app to receive alerts when motion or sound is detected. You can adjust sensitivity levels and set detection zones to minimize false alarms.

5.4 Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing clear black-and-white video footage.
5.5 Video Recording and Storage
The camera supports two storage options:
- Micro SD Card: Insert a compatible Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the camera's SD card slot for local storage of recorded events.
- Cloud Storage: Optional cloud storage plans are available through the Laxihub app for secure, remote storage of your video recordings.
5.6 Smart Home Integration (Alexa & Google Assistant)
The LAXIHUB P2 camera can be integrated with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control and viewing live feeds on compatible smart displays.
- Ensure your camera is properly set up in the Laxihub app.
- Open the Alexa or Google Home app.
- Search for and enable the "Laxihub" skill/service.
- Link your Laxihub account when prompted.
- Discover devices. You can now use voice commands like "Alexa, show me the pet camera" or "Hey Google, show me the living room camera."
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Camera
- Ensure the camera is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body.
- For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth specifically designed for optics to avoid scratches.
