8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DATOUBOSS Infrared Paint Curing Lamp, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Lamp does not turn on.No power supply, loose connection, faulty outlet, or burnt-out lamp tube.
  • Check if the lamp is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
  • Inspect the power cord and plug for any visible damage.
  • Check if the lamp tubes are securely seated or if any are burnt out (replace if necessary).
Insufficient heat output.Incorrect distance from surface, dirty reflector, or aging lamp tubes.
  • Adjust the distance to the curing surface to be within the recommended range.
  • Ensure the reflector is clean and free of dust or paint residue.
  • Consider replacing aging lamp tubes if they are nearing the end of their service life.
Lamp overheats or emits smoke/unusual odor.Blocked ventilation, internal fault, or initial burn-off.
  • Immediately unplug the lamp.
  • Ensure all ventilation holes are clear and not obstructed.
  • If the issue persists after ensuring proper ventilation, discontinue use and contact customer support. (A small amount of smoke/odor may occur during first use as protective coatings burn off).
