Setup

The NVR requires a wired Ethernet connection to your router for operation. Ensure your IP cameras are also connected to the same network.

  1. Connect the NVR: Connect the NVR to your router using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Connect Display: Connect a TV or monitor to the NVR using either the VGA or HDMI port.
  3. Connect USB Mouse: Plug the included USB mouse into one of the USB ports on the NVR.
  4. Power On: Connect the power adapter to the NVR and then to a power outlet. The NVR will power on automatically.
  5. Initial Configuration: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including setting up network parameters and searching for connected IP cameras.

Hard Drive Installation

A hard drive is required for local video storage. Follow these steps to install a 3.5" SATA HDD (not included).

  1. Unscrew the Cover: Power off the NVR and disconnect all cables. Carefully twist down the screws on the NVR casing to remove the top cover.
  2. Connect HDD Cables: Connect the SATA data and power cables from the NVR to the corresponding ports on your hard drive.
  3. Secure the HDD: Place the hard drive inside the NVR chassis and secure it using the provided screws.
  4. Replace Cover: Reattach the NVR cover and secure it with the screws.
  5. Format HDD: After powering on the NVR, navigate to the storage settings in the NVR menu and format the newly installed hard drive. This prepares it for recording.

Recording Modes

The NVR supports various recording modes to suit your surveillance needs:

Motion Detection and Alerts

Configure motion detection zones and sensitivity through the NVR's interface. When motion is detected, the NVR can trigger recording and send instant alert messages to your mobile devices via the XMeye app.

  2. Register an Account: Create a new user account within the XMeye app.

  4. View Footage: Once added, you can view live camera feeds, playback recorded video, and receive motion alerts directly on your mobile device or PC.
