5. Setup
5.1 Initial Installation
- Screw the DAYBETTER smart bulb into any standard E26 light socket or fixture.
- Turn on the power to the light fixture. The bulb will illuminate and begin flashing, indicating it is in pairing mode. If it does not flash, turn the light off and on three times rapidly until it starts flashing.
5.2 Tuya Smart App Pairing
- Download the "Tuya Smart" app from your mobile device's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).
- Register and log in to your Tuya Smart account.
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The bulbs do not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. If your router is dual-band, ensure you connect to the 2.4GHz SSID.
- Open the Tuya Smart app and tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
- Select "Auto Scan" or manually select "Lighting" > "Light Source (Wi-Fi)".
- Confirm the bulb is flashing rapidly. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the bulb to your Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, the bulb will stop flashing and remain steadily lit. You can then rename the bulb for easier identification (e.g., "Living Room Lamp", "Kitchen Light").

5.3 Voice Assistant Integration (Alexa/Google Home)
- Open your Alexa or Google Home app.
- Navigate to the "Skills & Games" (Alexa) or "Works with Google" (Google Home) section.
- Search for and enable the "Tuya Smart" skill/service.
- Link your Tuya Smart account with your voice assistant account.
- Discover devices. Your DAYBETTER smart bulbs will appear in your voice assistant app, ready for voice control.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 App Control (Tuya Smart App)
- On/Off: Tap the bulb icon in the app to turn it on or off.
- Color Changing: Select the color palette to choose from 16 million colors.
- Brightness Adjustment: Use the slider to adjust brightness from 1% to 100%.
- Tunable White: Adjust the white light from warm (2700K) to cool (6500K).
- Scene Modes: Select from pre-set scenes or create custom scenes for different moods and activities.
- Grouping: Create groups for multiple bulbs to control them simultaneously with one command.

6.2 Voice Control
Once integrated with Alexa or Google Home, use simple voice commands to control your bulbs. Examples:
- "Alexa, turn on the Living Room Light."
- "Hey Google, set the Bedroom Light to blue."
- "Alexa, dim the Kitchen Light to 50%."
- "Hey Google, change the Study Light to warm white."

6.3 Timer & Schedule
Set schedules for your bulbs to turn on or off automatically at specific times. This feature is ideal for waking up, going to sleep, or creating the impression that someone is home while you are away.
- In the Tuya Smart app, select the bulb you wish to schedule.
- Tap on "Schedule" or "Timer" and set your desired times and actions (e.g., turn on at 7:00 AM, turn off at 11:00 PM).

7. Maintenance
DAYBETTER smart bulbs are designed for long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance. To ensure optimal operation:
- Clean the bulb with a soft, dry cloth when necessary. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Ensure the bulb is used within its specified voltage and environmental conditions.
- Avoid physical impact or dropping the bulb.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1 Bulb Not Flashing During Setup
If the bulb does not flash rapidly when first turned on, indicating pairing mode, try the following:
- Turn the light switch off and on three times rapidly (on-off-on-off-on). The bulb should then start flashing.
8.2 Unable to Connect to Wi-Fi
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. These bulbs do not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- Network Password: Double-check that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password.
- Router Proximity: Move the bulb closer to your Wi-Fi router during the initial setup process.
- Router Settings: Some routers may have settings that interfere with smart device connections. Consult your router's manual or ISP if issues persist.
8.3 Bulb Loses Connectivity
If the bulb loses connection, especially after a power outage or if the physical light switch is turned off for an extended period:
- Try power cycling the bulb (turn off and on at the switch).
- If the issue persists, you may need to re-pair the bulb with the Tuya Smart app. Follow the steps in Section 5.2.
- It is recommended to control the bulbs primarily through the app or voice assistant to maintain connectivity, rather than frequently using the physical switch.
8.4 Voice Control Not Responding
- Ensure your Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Home account.
- Try re-discovering devices in your Alexa or Google Home app.
- Check your internet connection.
- Ensure the bulb is online in the Tuya Smart app.
