Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the balance and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components listed in the accessories section are present.
- Placement: Place the balance on a stable, level surface, free from vibrations, drafts, and direct sunlight. Use the adjustable feet at the bottom of the balance to level the device. The integrated level bubble on the control panel will assist in achieving a perfectly level setup.
- Weighing Pan Assembly: Assemble the weighing plates in the correct order to ensure proper function. If assembled incorrectly, the balance may display "L" to indicate an error.
- Power Connection: Connect the power supply to the balance's power inlet and then plug it into a suitable power outlet (110V).
- Initial Power On & Preheating: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the balance. Open the two glass draft shields and allow the balance to preheat for at least 30 minutes. This allows the balance to adapt to the environment, ensuring more accurate readings.
- Zeroing: After powering on and preheating, if the display does not show "0.0000 g", press the TARE button to zero the balance.

Calibration
Calibration is essential for maintaining the accuracy of your analytical balance. Follow these steps for external calibration:
- Ensure the balance is on a stable table and powered on.
- If the display does not show "0.0000 g", press TARE to zero it.
- After the display shows "0.0000", press the CAL button. The screen will show "PLEASE WAIT".
- Once stable, the display will show the required calibration weight (e.g., "200 g" for a 200g sample).
- Carefully place the specified calibration weight onto the center of the weighing pan. Close the draft shield.
- Wait for 3 seconds, then press CAL again. The screen will blink.
- After stabilization, the balance will beep and return to weighing mode, indicating successful calibration.
- Open the draft shield and remove the calibration weight.
Warm Tip: When weighing, always close the draft shield to ensure accurate readings.

Tare Function
The tare function allows you to zero the balance with a container on the pan, so only the weight of the contents is measured.
- Place an empty container on the weighing pan.
- Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.0000 g".
- Add the substance to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the substance.
Unit Conversion
The balance supports multiple weighing units. To change the unit:
- Press the UNIT button to cycle through available units (g, mg, ct, oz, etc.).
- Alternatively, for advanced unit configuration, refer to the detailed instructions in the video below, which explains how to use the menu codes for specific unit conversions.

Data Output (RS232 Interface)
The RS232 interface allows for connection to a computer or printer for data logging and analysis.
- Connect the balance to your computer or printer using a compatible RS232 cable.
- Refer to your computer or printer's manual for specific software or driver requirements.
- Press the DATA button on the balance to transmit the current weighing data.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the weighing pan and the glass draft shield with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces. The stainless steel pan is moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the balance is turned off and the draft shield is closed to protect the weighing mechanism from dust and debris. Store in a dry, stable environment.
- Inspection: Periodically check the adjustable feet and level bubble to ensure the balance remains level. Inspect cables for any signs of wear or damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Inaccurate readings | Unstable surface, drafts, uncalibrated, temperature fluctuations, incorrect pan assembly. | Ensure balance is on a stable, level surface. Close draft shield. Perform calibration. Allow preheating time. Check weighing pan assembly. |
| Display shows "L" | Weighing plates not assembled in the correct order. | Disassemble and reassemble the weighing plates according to the instructions in the Setup section or the product display video. |
| Balance does not power on | Power cable disconnected, power outlet issue, faulty power supply. | Check power cable connection. Test power outlet with another device. Contact support if power supply is suspected faulty. |
| Display is blank or unreadable | Power issue, display malfunction. | Check power connection. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
