3.4 Initial Use
- Before first use, clean all removable parts (basket, oil container) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Ensure the oil container is correctly positioned within the appliance.
- Fill the oil container with suitable frying oil or fat up to the indicated maximum level. Do not overfill.
4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your NOVY 3711 Fryer.
- Power On: Ensure the fryer is plugged in and the main power switch (if applicable) is on.
- Set Temperature: Turn the control knob to the desired frying temperature. The maximum temperature is 180°C. An indicator light will illuminate to show the heating element is active.
- Preheating: Allow the oil to preheat to the set temperature. This may take several minutes. The indicator light will turn off once the temperature is reached and cycle on/off during operation to maintain temperature.
- Frying: Carefully lower the food into the hot oil using the frying basket. Do not overload the basket, as this can lower oil temperature and result in soggy food.
- Monitoring: Supervise the frying process. Adjust temperature if necessary.
- Removing Food: Once cooked, lift the basket and allow excess oil to drain. Place food on paper towels to absorb remaining oil.
- Power Off: After use, turn the control knob to the 'off' position and unplug the appliance from the power supply. Allow the oil to cool completely before handling.
4.1 Cold Zone Function
The cold zone at the bottom of the oil container helps to collect food particles that fall off during frying. This prevents them from burning and contaminating the oil, extending the oil's lifespan and maintaining food quality.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your fryer. Always ensure the appliance is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Oil Disposal: Once the oil has cooled, carefully remove the oil container. Filter the oil for reuse or dispose of it responsibly according to local regulations.
- Cleaning Components: The frying basket and oil container are removable and can be washed with warm soapy water. For stubborn residue, a non-abrasive cleaner can be used. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Appliance Exterior: Wipe the exterior stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface.
- Cold Zone Cleaning: Pay special attention to cleaning the cold zone area to remove accumulated food debris.
- Storage: Once clean and dry, reassemble the fryer. If not in regular use, cover the appliance to protect it from dust.
