4. Setup

4.1 Assembly

5. Operating the Feeder

5.1 Manual Feeding

You can manually dispense food directly from the feeder or via the app:

  • On the Feeder: Press the 'FEED' button on the control panel to dispense one portion of food.
  • Via App: In the 'Tuya Smart' app, select the feeder and choose the manual feeding option to dispense food instantly.

5.2 Scheduled Feeding

Set up a customized feeding schedule to ensure your pet is fed regularly:

  1. Open the 'Tuya Smart' app and select your feeder.

  3. Add a new timing: set the desired meal time, select the days of the week, and choose the number of portions (1-12 portions, 7g each).

5.3 Voice Recording

Record a personalized message to call your pet at meal times:

  1. Press and hold the record button (microphone icon) on the control panel for 10 seconds.

5.4 Locking the Manual Feed Button

To prevent pets from accidentally or intentionally dispensing food, you can lock the manual 'FEED' button:

  • Press and hold the 'FEED' button on the control panel for 6 seconds. The LED indicator will flash twice, confirming the button is locked.
  • Repeat the same operation (press and hold for 6 seconds) to unlock the button.
  • Note: This lock function does not affect feeding schedules set via the app.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning Instructions

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and proper function:

  • Disassemble the food container, lid, and food tray.
  • Wash these removable parts with mild detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before reassembly.
  • The feeder body (base) should not be filled with water. Use a dry or damp cloth to clean the exterior.
  • Do not place any electronic components or the main feeder body in a dishwasher.

6.2 Desiccant Bag Replacement

  • Food not dispensing: Check for any blockages in the food outlet. Ensure the food container is not empty. Verify that the food pellet size is between 2-10 mm.
  • Voice message not playing: Ensure the message was recorded correctly. Check app settings for voice playback options.
  • LED indicator is off: Check power connections. If using batteries, ensure they are correctly installed and not depleted.
