6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On

Once batteries are installed and channel/unit settings are configured, the sensor will automatically power on and begin transmitting data. The LCD display will show the current temperature and humidity readings.

6.2. Data Transmission

The sensor transmits data wirelessly to your compatible weather station or receiver on the selected channel. Ensure your receiver is also set to the same channel to receive readings.

6.3. Reading the Display

The LCD display shows:

  • Temperature: The current temperature in ℃ or ℉ as selected.
  • Humidity: The current relative humidity in % RH.
  • Channel Number: The active transmission channel (e.g., CH1).

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or readings become inconsistent. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
  • Storage: If storing the sensor for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display or dim displayLow or dead batteries; incorrect battery polarity.Replace batteries with new 1.5V AA batteries; ensure correct polarity.
Inaccurate readingsSensor exposed to direct sunlight, rain, or heat sources; sensor placed in a high-humidity environment for too long.Relocate the sensor to a shaded, protected area; allow sensor to acclimate to a stable environment for 30 minutes.
No data received by main unitChannel mismatch; sensor out of range; interference; low batteries.Ensure sensor and main unit are on the same channel; move sensor closer to the main unit; avoid placing near large metal objects or electronics; replace sensor batteries.
