1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using an electrical appliance. Read all instructions before using this vacuum cleaner.

  • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
  • Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
  • Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
  • Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Do not pick up toxic material (e.g., chlorine bleach, ammonia cleaner, drain cleaner).
  • Do not use without dust cup and/or filters in place.
  • Turn off all controls before unplugging.
  • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
  • Do not charge the unit outdoors.
  • Only use the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.
  • Store the appliance indoors after use to prevent accidents.

4. Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Greenote GSC50 vacuum cleaner:

  1. Attach the Extension Wand: Insert the top end of the telescopic tube into the main motor unit until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Attach the Floor Brush: Connect the electric floor brush to the bottom end of the telescopic tube. Ensure it clicks firmly.
  3. Install Dustbin and Filters: Ensure the dustbin is correctly attached to the main motor unit and that the HEPA filter and metal mesh filter are properly seated inside.

For handheld use, you can directly attach the desired accessory (crevice tool or dusting brush) to the main motor unit without the extension wand.

5. Setup and Charging

5.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the vacuum cleaner for approximately 4 hours. Connect the charging adapter to the charging port on the main motor unit and plug it into a power outlet. The battery indicator lights will show the charging status.

5.2 Battery Installation/Removal

The battery pack is detachable. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out. To install, align the battery with the slot and push until it clicks into place.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off and Suction Modes

Press the power button to turn the vacuum cleaner on. It will start in Standard mode (12,000Pa). Press the mode button to switch to Strong mode (23,000Pa) for increased suction. Press the power button again to turn off the vacuum cleaner.

6.2 Using Attachments

  • Electric Floor Brush: Ideal for hard floors, carpets, and rugs. The integrated LED headlights illuminate dark areas, making dust and debris visible.
  • Crevice Tool: Use for narrow gaps, corners, and hard-to-reach areas like between sofa cushions or car seats.
  • Dusting Brush: Suitable for delicate surfaces, curtains, upholstery, and keyboards.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.

7.1 Emptying the Dustbin

To empty the dustbin, hold the main unit over a trash can and press the one-click release button on the bottom of the dustbin. The bottom flap will open, releasing the collected debris.

7.2 Cleaning the Filters

The Greenote GSC50 features a 5-stage cyclonic filtration system with an H11 HEPA filter. For best performance, clean the filters regularly.

  1. Twist and pull to remove the dustbin from the main unit.
  2. Remove the metal mesh filter and the HEPA filter from the dustbin.
  3. Tap the filters to remove loose dust.
  4. Rinse the metal mesh filter and HEPA filter under running water. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling.
  5. Reassemble the filters and dustbin in reverse order.

7.3 Cleaning the Brush Roll

Periodically check the brush roll for tangled hair or debris. Use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove any obstructions. The brush roll can be removed from the floor brush for deeper cleaning if necessary.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your vacuum cleaner, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
