1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Cheerwing U12 Remote Control Helicopter. This mini RC helicopter is designed for both adults and kids, featuring easy-to-use controls and stable flight characteristics. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your helicopter to ensure safe and optimal performance.

2. Setup

2.1 Controller Battery Installation

The remote controller requires 4 AA batteries (not included). To install:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the controller.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2 Helicopter Battery Charging

The helicopter is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Use the provided USB charger to charge the helicopter battery.

  1. Connect the USB charger to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  2. Connect the helicopter battery to the USB charger.
  3. The indicator light on the USB charger will show charging status (refer to charger instructions for specific light indications).
  4. Charging typically takes approximately 60 minutes. Do not overcharge.

2.3 Pairing the Helicopter and Controller

Before first flight, the helicopter and controller must be paired:

  1. Ensure both the helicopter and controller are fully charged.
  2. Turn on the helicopter's power switch. The helicopter's lights will flash.
  3. Turn on the controller's power switch.
  4. Move the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down.
  5. The helicopter's lights will become solid, indicating successful pairing.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Key Features

  • Altitude Hold Function: The helicopter can maintain a certain height automatically when your hands are off the controller, providing stable hovering.
  • One Key Take Off/Landing: Equipped with Gyroscope technology, a single button press initiates automatic take-off or landing, simplifying operation for beginners.
  • High/Low Speed Modes: Two speed modes allow pilots of different skill levels to enjoy flying. The 2.4Ghz remote control system prevents signal interference, enabling multiple helicopters to fly simultaneously.

3.2 Basic Flight Controls

Familiarize yourself with the controller's joysticks and buttons:

  • Left Joystick (Throttle): Push up to increase altitude, pull down to decrease altitude.
  • Right Joystick (Direction): Move forward/backward to control pitch, left/right to control roll (side-to-side movement).
  • Trim Buttons: Use the trim buttons to fine-tune the helicopter's stability if it drifts in any direction during hover.

4. Maintenance

The Cheerwing U12 helicopter is designed to be durable and anti-collision, featuring a metal frame and flexible blades to withstand impacts. Regular maintenance will prolong its lifespan.

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the helicopter with a dry, soft cloth after use to remove dust and debris. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
  • Blade Inspection: Regularly check the main and tail rotor blades for any damage (cracks, bends). Replace damaged blades using the provided spare parts and screwdriver tool.
  • Storage: Store the helicopter and controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries from the controller if storing for extended periods.

5. Troubleshooting
